EP 1
All winter Ronja has been giving food to Birk so that they can survive on their side of the castle. When Borka tells Mattis that it is Birk who has stolen the food, Mattis breaks down. Meanwhile, Chegge has persuaded Ronja to follow him into the forest, where Cappa and her servants are waiting for them... But Chegge has tricked Cappa and tells Ronja that Cappa wants to catch her to get to Mattis. When Ronja also hears that Chegge has been thrown out because they think he is the one who has been stealing food all winter, she decides to tell the truth, but when they arrive at the castle they are met by injured robbers.

EP 2
Borka and Undis meet Lovis without Mattias in Wolf Narrows where they exchange their children. At the exchange, Ronja and Birk tell them that they have saved each other's lives several times. Mattias is sulking and refuses to come out and refuses to talk to Ronja. She is no longer his daughter. Lovis tries to mediate. The robbers stand paralyzed and restless. They just want to go out and rob. Ronja tries to make friends with her father again and even offers to come along on the robbery. When Ronja and Birk finally meet in the forest again, they decide that enough is enough. Together they will move out into the forest.

EP 3
Ronja and Birk have moved to the Borka Cavern. The wile-wings get a tip that Ronja and Birk live in the forest and show up at the cave. Birk doesn't want to live there now that the wile-wings know where they are. Ronja can't imagine moving home but suggests moving to Bear Cavern, which is further away from the castle above Gobble Falls. It's a long walk there, but once they arrive, they have found their own kingdom where they can be completely free, happy, and fend for themselves with the help of their most important tool, the knife.

EP 4
Ronja and Birk still live in Bear Cavern and are happy. The wild horses have started to get used to them and they get closer and closer. Mattis just sits inside and has stopped eating. The robbers dare not say anything. One day Mattis plunges into the forest and even tries to attract wild horses. He also comes to realize that it is Ronja who has given the Borka robbers food and that what Skully-Per is working on is his own coffin. It is said that the miners are on their way down to the village, with a lot of gold and silver. Both Mattis and Borka intend to strike, but Cappa is also on the warpath.

EP 5
Cappa has finally succeeded in capturing Mattis and three of his robbers. Cappa talks to Mattis about their shared past. Valdir wants to hang all the robbers immediately, but Cappa wants to wait with Mattis. When Lovis hears what has happened, she is at first devastated, but then pulls herself together and takes matters into her own hands. She dresses up and rides down to the village. Ronja and Birk have finally managed to tame their horses and can now gallop through the forest. One evening when they get back to the cave, Lovis is waiting for them. She asks Ronja to come home for Matti's sake.

EP 6
Ronja and Birk are back home on each sides of the castle. They have managed to get their robber dads to put back the suspension bridge between the two parts of the castle so they can visit each other during the winter. With a bit of persuasion, Mattis realizes that it might be best if he joins forces with Borka, and Borka agrees. The problem of who will be chief will simply have to be fought over in a proper fight. Cappa, on the other hand, hasn't given up her goal of getting revenge on Mattis. She tries to convince Borka to help her. When the servants attack, led by Cappa, the question is who has tricked whom.
