Series season synopsis

It’s been two years since Ellen and Asgeir stopped the terror attack in Berlin. Ellen is back home caring for her elderly father, while Asgeir and his daughter live in Lofoten, in hiding from the relentless and lethal Ziminov. But when a brutal murder leads Ellen and Asgeir to Hungary, they discover that this is just a part of something much bigger; a plot to tear down the European democracy. With the lives of their loved ones hanging in the balance, Ellen and Asgeir must team up with an unlikely partner to find and stop those who wish to see Europe burn.  

Episodes synopsis

Episode 1:
Asgeir is in Lofoten, chasing down a money trail to try and catch Ziminov. Ellen is on a leave of absence, at home taking care of her elderly father. But she is restless and impatient to get back to work in the PST. At the Ministry of Justice, Tarje and the Minister is concerned about the increasing amount of online threats made against Jonas. 

Episode 2:
With the new lead, Ellen and Asgeir rush off to Budapest to arrest Ziminov with the help of CIA. Chief and Ellen are worried that Asgeir will not be able to control himself when coming face to face with the man who killed the mother of his child. Back at the Ministry Jonas has to meet with the PST regarding his own safety. 

Episode 3:
Ellen and Asgeir realise they have been lured into a trap, and must make an unlikely ally if they are to escape. In Norway, the events in Budapest have political repercussions for both the Minister of Justice and the PST. And Tarje gets some new information that turns his life upside down.

Episode 4: 
Ellen goes undercover again to get to the infamous Mateusz Krajewski, while Asgeir and Ziminov get in trouble at the border. In Norway, Tarje faces a difficult situation where his loyalties are torn between his sister and his best friend.

Episode 5: 
Ellen has taken Krajewski and his wife as hostages, and they are heading to the TV-station in Warsaw. While Asgeir and Tereza must break into a heavily guarded warehouse in search of evidence. The Norwegian government is under maximum pressure before the NATO summit and the Minister of Justice has some bad news for Jonas. 

Episode 6:
Poland is in turmoil and the European democracy is in danger. In Warsaw massive crowds are gathering to protest. Ellen goes to find Sikora and stop the terror attack, while Asgeir seeks help from Chief, unaware that Michelle’s life is in danger.  In Norway the NATO summit is about to commence when The Minister of Justice makes a career-defining decision.
